I liked the grilled lamb, the fish order was not disappointing. However the grilled meat options are very limited and some choices were not available. I came for the grilled bullfrog and was disappointed it was no longer on the menu.
Standard of fish dropped quite a lot and no more before meal snacks were given at the table. We tried their new item tomyum fish, and it came with prawns that were not very fresh and were mushy, the shell was stuck and prawns were not de-veined. Previous visits were alright but today was disappointing :/

This time around really wanted to give a review for the grilled fish, seems like cooked so long already and tased very old! In fact feel the food quality is getting lower and lower compared to before!Disappointed and will not visit in nearer time!
This week had 1 dining experience with Tan yu @WWP ,very bad experience regardless the service /food. especially the service.already check with the stuff a few time about the food delayed serve, But seems like no one cared!Rice serve with cold temperature and more!Speechless this time around.

Good there's 30% discount for first time visitor using grab dine out.Second time here. Tried out the garlic flavour.. unfortunately a bit too garlicky, after a while the broth felt jelak.
Very crowded on a friday evenig dinner, and we waited for almost 1hr to get our fish!It was my 2nd time here, the 1st time wasnt so long a wait.But the wait was worth it. - the portion and aroma of it is good. Just not ma-la enough...

We asked for juice without ice but was declined. The restaurant only serves less ice juice. I do not understand how hard it is to remove the ice. I can accept less volume.The fuel under fish was not supplied sufficiently and in the middle of meal the staff has to remove the dish to add fuel again.
The limbo fish fillet was perfectly cooked and the flavor was amazing. Love their 羊肉串too! There was a 15% off when you use Grab pay so super worth it!

The main grilled fish is very good, the garlic clove meat is very tender, and the pieces can be separated easily.
Went to other outlets before. First visit at Waterway Point outlet but was such a great disappointment. We went at 3.45pm and order was placed at 3.55pm. As it’s off peak hours and there’s ard 6 tables taken, we did not expect that we will have to wait for so long for our food. We waited for 40min but our food is still not ready. The table next to us came in after 4plus and yet their food is serve ard 20min of waiting (and they hv ordered the same flavour grilled fish as us). I asked one of the waitress whether the grilled fish is ready. If not, then I would like to cancel my order. She came back after checking with the kitchen and simply informed me that the kitchen has started preparing. However, she did not explained why it’s taking so long or informed me how long I have to wait before the grilled fish will be ready. So I hv to approach another waitress and check with her again. I hv expressed that i would like to cancel my order since it’s already 4.40pm. Only then the grilled fish came. Even though the standard of the grilled fish has not dropped. However, my friend and I are not in the mood. The second waitress that I hv approached is apologetic and have offered a 20% discount and free dessert. But who will be in the mood to enjoy the dessert.

i order Grilled Fish with Soy Sauce Flavor 酱香烤鱼 online and self collect the fish.It is non spicy fish. we choose limbo fish .fish is fresh and good. little and obvious bones. The sauce is abit salty but if eat with rice still ok.

Ordered their signature green pepper limbo fish and their chicken, lamb, pork skewers with spice as well as the barbeque chicken wings. We enjoyed every bite throughout the meal. We also ordered coke with lemon and passionfruit juice which were super refreshing. Definitely will come back here again!
Grilled fish with fresh green pepper flavorful limbo fish has less bone and tender.We added traditional bean curd and golden mushroom. Golden mushroom portion is too little tho.Other dishes are normal.
A good dining experience in the restaurant,especially the fabulous service provided by counter staff Tiffany Lee. She extended her service to persuade us to sign up for the membership and share with us the benefits of being Tanyu member. Would definitely visit often!

Food is quite yummy but service is not to the point we like.We took a voucher here and checked with them whether we can use it in their restaurant, they said yes but when we done the lunch and checked out at the counter, the casher said we can't use it as it is only for jewel branch, we told them we checked with their staff before we ordered .. she told us he is wrong.... Then refused us to redeem !!! Quite uncomfortable!!
Tan Yu Waterway Point is an exceptional dining experience that I highly recommend. From the moment you step in, the ambiance is inviting and cozy, with attentive staff ready to assist. The menu offers a wide selection of delicious dishes, each bursting with flavor and freshness. I particularly enjoyed their signature dishes, which are expertly prepared and beautifully presented. There is kid set for my kid as well.
Service was prompt and food portion was huge. Ordered sea bass with the seven ingredients, fish was fresh and food was tasty. Chicken skewers were flavourful and tender.Muscat grape tower drink was delicious and worth it. Will come back for another meal.
We've tried their other branch before so know that their food is good.Green pepper flavour was my favourite.Today accidentally ordered a non spicy flavour, Garlic flavour, and it was non spicy enough to bring out the best taste of the grilled fish. Will be back next time for the other spicy flavour, but kept the 4 rating from their other dishes until then.

Dear Restaurant Management Team,My friends and I visited your establishment last night, but unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the service we received. Firstly, upon being seated, the staff merely informed us about ordering via the QR code on the table and did not offer any further assistance. Moreover, when I attempted to scan the QR code to place an order, another staff member rudely tossed a tablet onto our table, which was quite off-putting.Secondly, we were not informed in advance about which dishes were unavailable. As a result, several items we tried to order were out of stock, including some of the specialties we were looking forward to, leaving us quite disappointed.Lastly, we were asked to settle the bill at the counter before even finishing half of our meal, making us feel rushed and unable to fully enjoy our dining experience.I hope that your restaurant will prioritize customer experience and improve the quality of service and procedures. This includes enhancing the politeness and professionalism of the staff, promptly informing customers about the availability of dishes, and optimizing the payment process to ensure a better dining experience for all patrons. Happened to chance upon this shop at Waterway and decided to give it a try. We ordered the Seabass in Soy sauce with added set of luncheon meat, lotus, mushrooms and potatoes. Overall food was great and fish was fresh. Waiting time took around 30min.
The fish is very tender and tastes good. It’s totally okay to eat with children. I will come again next time! The environment is also ok!
The green pepper & garlic flavours (two separate occasions, on two separate days & I believe the latter flavour is seasonal!) were simply delish. The former is the most popular option & has a distinct heat to it while perfectly complementing the tender fish, while the latter is full of garlic and balances well with the broth. The fish is always well cooked and consistently fresh. What stands out every time we dine in tan yu is the sizzling broth (chock full of flavour & oh-so-addictive!) that the servers will top up periodically, as the meal progresses. Always a delight to dine in tan yu!

Decided to try after reading the reviews but surprisingly felt let down by the overall oilyness of both fish especially the fish with sauerkraut. The big surprise was the sides which in my opinion warrants a visit alone, skip the fish order the king oyster mushrooms with vinegar! The mushrooms were sliced thinly and has a nice meaty bite combined with the crunchy onions and green/red peppers in a sour sauce made it an instant favourite! The grilled lamb skewers was also excellent with a good bite and nice meat to fats ratio with only a nice hint of gameyness. Will definitely be back for the sides but I'll pass on the fish.
This is my favourite Tanyu restaurant outlet. I love Tanyu a lot. One of my Must Go restaurants when I have the craving for fish. The service is good here as well. Plus free tibits!
Visited on the 7th of March with my husband. The service was excellent! The toppings were full, and the fish was delicious. Clarice, one of the waitress, had a little Australian accent when speaking English. I felt comfortable communicating with her. I would love to dine in again some time soon.
Must try their grilled fish with fresh green pepper. The fish is fresh and super tender. The soup is delicious with fresh mala fragrance.

environment was good and hygienic. green pepper limbo fish was good with a lot of “ma” flavour and peppercorns and worth it. lychee shrimp balls were amazing and we ended up ordering 2 plates. fried mantou and cold noodles were also good. service was good and staff were polite

We tried the takeaway version and we request for fish fillet with no bones and it really came with no bones. We could eat it easily without worry of swallowing bones accidentally. The taste is also consistent as compared with eating in restaurants.
I’m a big fan of FISH🤣 When I say it’s nice, it’s really nice🤣 It’s my first. So I tried the commonly ordered grilled fish with green pepper. I thought it will be SUPER SPICY. But nah… Piece of cakeyyyy🤣🤧So first, when the first is here, you gotta wait for it to reheat maybe 5mins-10mins? They said the Signature ones are the most spicy in the menu. So I’ll try that next time🥹❤️ Wat with rice is SOOOOOO YUMMMM
Staff were attentive and helpful. Flavor was nice but a bit salty. However staff replenish soup base promptly to dilute the flavors released by the ingredients.
August 2023 Review. Overall is Good. Most of the staff are attentive. Except that when i requested less chili for the signature fish, it did not fulfill . But fortunately the fish taste overall is Good. Gravy is delicious. I order the no/less bone fish type , the meat is fresh and delicious. Customer service is good too. Would i be back ? Yes most likely.
My go-to shop for grilled fish. We had 2 fish 1 frog this time round. However service was slow and staffs were inattentive. Had a lady which insisted that we ordered a bowl of plain noodles when we didn’t. We told her we didn’t order but she just left it on our table and walked away.葱油面was dry and tasteless. Lack seasoning.
